TERMS AND CONDITIONS
This document sets out the terms and conditions (Terms) on which you (Owner) engage us WAGGY TAILS ELTHAM PTY LTD T/A Waggy Tails Doggy Day Care (WTDDC) to care for your dog or dogs (separately and together, dog). By signing these Terms, you agree to engage WTDCC to perform the Services described in these Terms.
WTDCC will provide daycare services (Services) for your dog, and you will pay WTDCC the fees (Fees) for the Services at the then current rate as advised by WTDCC from time to time.
Conditions of Entry:
- All dogs must pass a temperament assessment – Please read “why your dog may not be suitable for day care” on our website
- You will ensure that your dog always enters and leaves our premises on a serviceable lead and collar. All dogs should wear at all times, ID tags including their names.
- Dogs are NOT permitted to wear tracking devices, correction collars, martingale collars, breakaway collars, studded collars, jewelled collars & harnesses. These items are far too dangerous to leave on at any time whilst in our care.
- Dogs that arrive without a collar are fitted and supplied with collar at your cost
- Dogs MUST BE checked in no later than 9.00am (8am first day) – late arrivals may be turned away
- Dogs MUST BE collected by 6.20pm
- Dogs must be de-sexed if over 12 months of age
- Dogs must be vaccinated to a level of at least C5. Vaccinations must be required upon request by WTDCC.
- It Is a requirement of the Code of Practice that all dogs are current & up to date with Vaccinations. Failure to provide updated certificates may result in your dog being unable to attend until a certificate is provided
- Dogs must be treated for gastrointestinal worms before admission. Dogs that have not been wormed must be wormed on admission by WTDDC at the owner’s cost
- If you cannot provide the information requested above, then your dog may be refused entry.
Day care bookings
To ensure you are guaranteed a place, day care bookings are required to avoid disappointment.
- Day care bookings are a requirement with a minimum of 1 day a week attendance.
- Recurring bookings are required (eg every Monday)
- New customers are required to set up recurring bookings on the first day or during the enrolment process
- We do not accept fortnightly bookings or ad hoc bookings for new enrolments
- Recurring bookings are subject to acceptance based on capacity and availability
- Additional ad hoc bookings for existing enrolled dogs are limited and based on capacity and availability
- Bookings can be made via email bookings@wtddc.com.au , PH 8418 3937, or through the WT app, and are subject to acceptance based on capacity and availability
packages
- Day care packages expire
- The validity of day care packages cannot be extended past the expiry date. Our packages are designed to save money for our regular clients
- Day care packages must be used within the validity period
- 5 day pack - 1 month expiry | 10 day pack - 3 month expiry | 20 day pack - 6 month expiry
- Day care packages are not transferable
- Day care packages are non-refundable once started, with the exception of discontinued day care
- Refunds on packages for discontinued day care with WTDDC, for any reason, will incur a non-negotiable $100 administraton cancellation fee
day care Cancellation policy
- There is a strict 24 hour cancellation policy for all services
- If you do not provide us with 24 hours notice or If you fail to attend your booking, you will be charged the cancellation/no-show fee
- If you regularly request changes or do not arrive, your recurring booking will be cancelled and offered to a wait list client. All further bookings will need to be made through our app and confirmation will be based on availability
- The cancellation/no-show charge is the normal day rate of $66 or a draw down on an existing pre-paid package
- All booking cancellations or amendments must be submitted via email bookings@wtddc.com.au or PH 8418 3937
- You cannot cancel bookings through the App.
- All booking cancellations and amendments are subject to acceptance via reply email from Waggy tails
grooming cancellation policy
- There is a strict 24 hour cancellation policy should you wish to cancel or rebook your grooming appointment
- If you do not provide us with 24 hours notice or If you fail to attend your booking, you will be charged the cancellation of 50% of the cost of the service booked.
- Each service provided has a different time frame, if you change your mind within 24 hours of your booking, and wish to receive a service of a shorter time frame, you will be charged for the original service.
- All booking cancellations or amendments must be submitted via email bookings@wtddc.com.au or PH 8418 3937
- You cannot cancel bookings through the App.
Hold fee policy
- The booking hold secures your regular spot and ensures that you do not lose your nominated recurring booking.
- You can place your recurring booking on hold for 10 sessions per calendar year
- Thereafter, a $20 hold fee per booking will apply to secure your spot. If you do not wish to pay the hold fee, your spot will be given to a parent on the wait list
- Hold fee does not apply during WT Christmas shutdown, public holidays, January
Payments
- Payment for day care must be made on the day of attendance. Outstanding balances need to be paid before future bookings will be accepted
The Owner, by signing this document and leaving the dog in care:
- gives permission for WTDCC (inclusive of its staff, employees, contractors and agents) to seek veterinary care if they deem it necessary. WTDCC will make all reasonable efforts to contact the Owner prior to any action being taken. WTDDC will take such action as necessary to comply with the Owner’s insurance (if any) for the dog if the requirements of such insurance are made available to WTDCC; and
- agrees to pay the costs incurred by WTDCC in arranging all urgent or necessary veterinary or other care (as determined by WTDCC, acting reasonably in the interests of the dog at the time) for the dog whilst it is under the care of WTDCC.
All arrangements other than as detailed herein must be discussed prior to day care being provided.
The Owner, by signing this document and leaving the dog in care:
- acknowledges that WTDDC does not permit visits to "view your dog playing" This causes over stimulation, changes dynamics in the groups and reactivity that can cause aggressive behaviour.
- acknowledges that while all care will be taken with their dog(s), in the event of an accident, or illness, or injury the dog owner will accept responsibility for such accident or illness or injury and will pay all costs incurred by said accident, illness or injury (including injury and costs of third parties caused directly by the dog) regardless of how the incident occurred.
- agrees to collect the dog if contacted and asked to do so by WTDCC
- Opening hours are Monday – Friday 7am – 6.30 pm. You agree to collect your dog before our closing time, we will charge $10 for every 5 minutes over time, up to twenty minutes after close. After that your dog will be taken home by one our staff members and an extra $150 will be payable.
- acknowledges that daycare rates and services are reviewed periodically and may increase.
- acknowledges that WTDCC reserve the right to refuse to provide the Services if the dog shows aggression towards people or other dogs. WTDCC reserve the right to refuse to accept or keep a dog in care if they consider doing so would jeopardize the safety, wellbeing or comfort of the other dogs or any employees, contractors, subcontractors or agents of WTDCC.
- It is the Owner’s responsibility to inform WTDCC of any behavioural issues the dog may have, regardless of whether these issues may impact on the ability to provide care e.g., if held by the collar or uncomfortable with being held or led by the collar or fence jumping.
- acknowledges that WTDDC is a cage-less environment where dogs interact and play directly with one another off leash. Therefore, understands that there are risks associated with such an environment, including but not limited to, transfer of communicable illness such as Canine Cough, injuries including the occurrence of nicks and/or scratches, broken nails, abrasions, cuts, sore pads or minor injury.
- The owner authorises WTDDC to use certain forms of corrective methods, such as verbal commands and time out to help correct behavioural problems.
- acknowledges that my puppy will no longer be given lunch that has been provided by myself, after the age of 6 months unless required for medical reasons
- Dogs that are COUGHING OR HAVE BEEN COUGHING REPEATEDLY OVER THE PREVIOUS 24 HOURS, HAVE DIARRHEA OR EYE DISCHARGE MUST NOT ATTEND DAY CARE. Please check with us first if you need clarification or undecided
- acknowledges that if the staff at WTDDC deems that my dog is unwell due to a contagious disease, including but not limited to canine cough, oral papillomas, diarrhoea and/or vomiting it must be collected within a two-hour period or will be transported to a local vet and all costs incurred will be payable by the owner.
- acknowledges that if my dog develops canine cough symptoms it is not permitted to return to day care for 3 weeks from the onset of symptoms.
- acknowledges that if my dog stays at a boarding kennel it must stay home for 1 week to observe for any canine cough symptoms prior to returning to day care
- acknowledges that if my dog develops oral papillomas it is not permitted to return to day care until all papillomas have resolved
- It is the owner’s responsibility to inform WTDDC if the dog has contracted any contagious diseases within the last six months.
- Owners must maintain an effective flea and worming treatment regime. In the interest of health and safety of other clients IF FLEAS ARE FOUND ON YOUR DOG, YOU WILL BE CALLED TO COLLECT YOUR DOG. IF WORMS ARE FOUND ON YOUR DOG A WORMING TREATMENT WILL ADMINISTERED BY WTDDC AT THE OWNERS COST
- The WTDCC service works on a “Three Strikes and you are Out” Policy. If your dog exhibits a behavior that is thought to be unacceptable, you will be told of the incident.
The Owner hereby give’s permission for images in which your dog may appear to be used by WTDCC for publications and public relations activities. In particular, the Owner agrees and acknowledges that this may include use in print and electronic media, including the Internet and social media platforms.
